Word of the Day

Postby markrichey1508 » September 24th, 2013 11:25 pm

Where do these go when viewed? The page keeps telling me that these words have been added to my word bank(?) but when I look for a collection of words, I find nothing.

Help!

Are you sure it says that the word was added to your wordbank? When I try visiting the WotD page, I see a message saying that WotD has been added to my account. But that's just telling me that I'm subscribed to the WotD e-mail (i.e. that I will get a WotD e-mail every day).

I can't see a message saying that the word has been added to my wordbank, though.

It actually says "added to your account." What I am trying to find out is where? I want to go back and review these, other than going through email. What I need is to find where these are stored.

Thanks for the help!

When it says "added to your account" it doesn't mean that the word-of-the-day has been added to a list somewhere. It means that the JPod101 WotD e-mail has been added as a feature to your account.

If you click on My Account at the top of this web page, and then click "E-Mail Settings", you should see that "Word of the day Alerts" checkbox is ticked. That's what the message means: the tickbox has been ticked, so you get word-of-the-day alerts or, to put it another way, you are subscribed to the word-of-day mailing list.

Thanks for the info. Is there a way other than going through all my old email to see and review those words?

The easiest way is probably to browse the JPod101 Blog. The link is in the Community menu. WotD always appears in the blog, usually with three or four sample sentences.

Thanks for your comments and for the great help as usual マイケル-san!
Antoehr way to check all the Words of the Day is in this page:
http://www.japanesepod101.com/japanese-phrases/

You can simply change the date on the calendar on the top right side of the Japanese Word of the Day to go to past days.
I hope it helps, and let us know if you have any questions!
