Trouble with Hiragana

Ohayou gozaimasu from Massachusetts!

So I made paper flash cards for the Hiragana found on this part of the site: http://www.japanesepod101.com/learn-hiragana/. However, when I went to take the practise flash cards online I got really badly confused because they were more stylized with brush strokes. :( I just wanted to let you guys know, because I've been using how they look to memorize them, and then when the style has changed it kind of messed me up. I'm still working on it though. :)

So far I'm really liking the site. Though I'm hesitant to move forward if I don't know Hiragana well, so I kind of feel like this little bobble in this area of the site has set me back a little. Would it be possible to have more learning support for this? Like offer mnemonics or even like a flash card system that could keep track of the ones you are not doing well on and give you the option to only focus on those?

I hope I don't sound rude. Like I said I love this site, and I'm continuing with my education, it was just something I noticed.

Thank you for your time,
-Heather :D

Heather-san konnichiwa!

Thanks for your lovely post and feedback!
We appreciate any feedback. :)

We understand that the style of letters confuses you to figure out the shapes.
It's similar to a handwriting and typed small 'g' letter in English.
I forwarded your feedback to the team. It would take time but will be revised.

Have you watched the video lesson series, Kantan Kana?
http://www.japanesepod101.com/index.php?cat=47
You can learn how to write with Chihiro-sensei's advice, and practice them with the practice sheet on the Lesson Notes.
That series covers both Hiragana and Katakana.

You can keep your vocabulary building with My Flashcard.
http://www.japanesepod101.com/learningcenter/flashcards/flashcards
You can make your own set, and also make a set from the lesson.
It will set a due date for reviewing after you study and select "OK" and "Well".
Please have a look at the detailed usage on "?FAQ" button on the right top.

Please feel free to share your ideas and feedback anytime!
Hope this helps,
Motoko
