Japanese Kana? Stroke sequence?

Postby falhameli » January 7th, 2010 10:57 am

I'm a beginner to this site and am looking forward to utilizing it in learning Japanese. One thing I have noticed is that there is no feature that teaches you the Kana (Alphabet for Kanji & Hiragana) which I believe is essential for beginners.

How are you supposed to start reading the notes with the lessons if you can't even pronounce the alphabet? lol

Also I believe its essential to have the stroke sequence for practicing writing. I had to purchase a separate book for this and would like to see both features on the website someday :)

Thanks!

You actually have that here. You have to go into the Learning Center -> Reference Material (learning Tools) click on Hiragana Chart with Audio/Video or Katakana Chart with Audio/Video. You can have audiotracks with the pronunciation and a quicktime video with stroke order. You also find practice sheets and recondition practice.
