It's probably strange to be so excited about a hotel but when we visited Tokyo late last year and stayed at Hotel Claska in Meguro we were blown away by the room there as well as the staff. We were looking for something a little bigger as we stayed at Mitzui Gardens in Ginza in 2007 and that meant going out a bit further for something bigger than 35m2 - it's funny how Japanese hotel rooms are measured in square metres.
If you're willing to walk to a train station or catch a cab I'd highly recommend this place - we're staying there again this year hopefully - if the yen goes back up against the Aussie dollar!
