Workplace/Laboratory Etiquette

Postby dat5h » June 23rd, 2008 7:11 pm

Hello Everyone,

I will begin attending graduate school in Tokyo this coming fall, but I am only familiar with graduate school in the US. I was wondering if anyone had any useful advice or experience that could help me to prepare for what to expect when I begin to work in my lab. Anything at all would be helpful. Will it be very similar to the US? Is there at strong distinction between 後輩 (kouhai) and 先輩 (senpai)?
