Kanji strokes

Postby jmignot » October 7th, 2006 8:33 am

I have mentioned these sites in a discussion on one of the Comments threads, and someone suggested they should be posted to this forum. So, here we go!

These are some great animations on the Web showing how to write the Kanji. My favorite is:
http://kanjialive.lib.uchicago.edu

More limited lists (but animations are with brush!) can be found at:
http://www.joyo96.org/Grade_1.html
http://www.joyo96.org/Grade_2.html

For folks using a PDA, the program PAdict has a nice function giving the order of strokes for a large number of Kanji . Free download from:
http://padict.sourceforge.net/

The associated data base can be found at:
http://taka.sourceforge.net/current/

There ma be more of those out there. Does anybody know?

Animated stroke-order diagrams for all jouyou kanji are available straight from Jim Breen's kanji dictionary. Just look up the kanji and click on the SOD link at the end.
