News website using Japanese language

Postby j_evenstar » May 20th, 2012 12:45 am

Hi guys,
I target to take N3 this December and I want to brush up on my reading. Do you have any recommendations on international news websites in Japanese? I would like to read one article a day and I prefer it to be short so as not to take much time. Also if the news website would also fit my level, I would appreciate it.

Thank you.

j_evenstar-san,
It could be a little bit difficult yet, but the easiest access for international news in Japanese could be any websites like yahoo Japan or MSN.
They usually have a tab for "international" (国際), and shows first headlines, and if you want to read whole article, you can do it too.
For a starter, reading first bit of each news would be short and real, I guess.
Good luck in December!!

Natsuko-san,
Thank you. I did come across yahoo jp and realized it was all too difficult to me. I'd stick with my textbook articles for the meantime and aim for that once I pass N2.

Most of the mainstream news sites (FNN, TBS, Yomiuri etc) tend to have short articles, and there's even accompanying video for some stories. Lookup the websites. Sometimes I read the 読めるモ app on my iPod too, since it has a pretty diverse range of topics.
