JLPT 2007 - Passed!!!

Postby kcsega » February 7th, 2008 3:32 pm

Awesome.
I just got my results in the mail at my language school in Tokyo.
Passed 2-kyuu with approximately 80%. :D
Listening section was a cinch.
Need to increase my speed in the reading section.

Time to buckle down and study for Level 1 this year.

How did everyone else do this year? Hope you guys did well.
(I know other countries get the results about a month later than we do here.)

合格おめでとう。80%は本当にすごいですよね。1級にも頑張ってください。

私も自分の2級の結果を待っています。どうしてそんなに時間がかかるかな。。。

I just got my results for 四級:

Writing-Vocab: 98/100
Listening: 59/100 (ouch!)
Reading-Grammar: 182/200
Total: 339/400 / 84%

Except for the listening section, this is very encouraging. I'm extra charged up for 三級 later this year.

4-kyuu passed! Thanks Jpod101.com :)

Actually, I took 4-kyuu back in 1999 when I was in high school. I did it again to see how things had progressed since then. I had no formal study since then, only Jpod101 and a kanji flash program. Onto the results!

Writing: 96/100
Listening: 71/100
Reading-Grammar: 155/200
TOTAL: 322/400

Very happy! I blew the first couple of listening questions because I was expecting the dialogue to be repeated, so I wasn't concentrating as hard as I should been. Had I known the format, I think I could have done better.

I don't have my results from high school, but I'm pretty sure this is an improvement. I know the listening score is much improved - I failed that section last time I took it. That's something I've noticed Jpod has helped me improve with in leaps and bounds - I was a terrible listener back then because I had no experience with any voices other than my teacher. Male voices? Forget it. So a massive thumbs up and thankyou for Jpod there - I'm so much more confident with listening now.

Now, onto 3-kyuu!

I thought I actually did better, but oh well, now I have more confidence for level 2 this year :D
