みなさん、こんにちは。 (Minasan, konnichiwa.)
Today we are going to learn about Respect for the Aged Day. Let’s start.
敬老の日 (keirō no hi) Respect for the Aged Day.
敬老の日は毎年九月の、第3月曜日。 (Keirō no hi wa maitoshi ku-gatsu no, dai-san getsu-yōbi.) もし、おじいちゃん、おばあちゃんがいたら、おじいちゃん、おばあちゃんに、感謝の気持ちを伝えたりします。 (Moshi, ojī-chan, obā-chan ga itara, ojī-chan, obā-chan ni, kansha no kimochi o tsutaetari shimasu.)
敬老の日に、おじいちゃんと、おばあちゃんと、ごはんに行く。 (Keirō no hi ni, ojī-chan to, obā-chan to, gohan ni iku.)
敬老の日に、おばあちゃんに、肩たたきをする。 (Keirō no hi ni, obā-chan ni, katatataki o suru.) おばあちゃん、お疲れ様。 (O-bā-chan, otsukaresama.)
お年寄り (otoshiyori) Elderly person.
お年寄りに、電車で席をゆずる。 (Otoshiyori ni, densha de seki o yuzuru.)
Give my seats to the elderly person あ、おばあさん、こちらのお席へどうぞ。 (A, o-bā-san, kochira no o-seki e dōzo.) ありがとね、どうもありがとう、ふう。 (Arigato ne, dōmo arigatō, fū.)
長寿 (chōju) Long life.
日本では、長寿の方がたくさんいます。 (Nihon de wa, chōju no hō ga takusan imasu.) In Japan, many people live a long life. 沖縄が一番、長寿の方が多いところだそうです。 (Okinawa ga ichi-ban, chōju no hō ga ōi tokoro da sō desu.)
おじいちゃん、おばあちゃん (o-jī-chan, o-bā-chan) Grandfather, grandmother
おじいちゃんと、おばあちゃんは、夜寝るのが早い。 (O-jī-chan, o-bā-chan, yoru neru no ga hayai.) grandparents go to bed early
プレゼント (purezento) Present.
んー、おじいちゃん、おばあちゃんにプレゼントあげるなら、何がいいかなあ。 (Nn, o-jī-chan, o-bā-chan ni purezento ageru nara, nani ga ii ka nā.) 何が喜ぶかな。お花？とか。 (Nani ga yorokobu kana. O-hana? Toka.) あ、でも、いちばん、顔を見せてあげるのが嬉しいんじゃないかなあと、思うんですけどね。 (D, demo, ichi-ban, kao o misete ageru no ga ureshii n ja nai ka nā to, omou n desu kedo ne.)
