However, listening to Japanese has proven to be quite a challenge. For some reason, listening to the Japanese language is more difficult than reading it. You notice that’s different for you than for your other friends who came to Japan with you. But now, you’ve got to get better at listening to your Japanese lessons. You’re scheduled to take the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) in a few weeks, and you’ve learned that a part of the test is answering Japanese questions based solely on what you’ve heard. Your Japanese friends all tell you that you’ll do really well because you answer all their Japanese questions and participate in Japanese conversations with them just fine.
