The audio lessons and rich collection of accompanying resources in the Learning Center are designed to take you from absolute beginner to an upper intermediate level. There is currently learning material for 9 different courses, and we're constantly growing.
On appropriate occasions an informal version of the daily conversation is provided. This is an extremely unique approach as Japanese is a layered language in that polite language is used when speaking with people not on intimate terms with the speaker and informal language is used when speaking with intimate people.

Take learning into your own hands and tackle the ever-important written Japanese hiragana and katakana using our printable kana charts.
The Kana Stroke Order Videos show you the proper stroke order for all basic Hiragana and Katakana characters. The videos, which include the sound of each character, show you exactly how to write each character stroke by stroke. They are on the Hiragana Chart and Katakana Chart pages in the Reference Material section of our Learning Center.

Use the word dictionary with over 100,000 entries to find any words you may be looking for, or even just to discover some new ones! Search using romaji, kana, kanji, or English, and add the word directly to your personal word bank from the dictionary.
