4 Kyuu - Chicago. Good luck to everyone!

I was going to take 3, but when I did the early level check tests, I found out that my grammar comprehension was horrible! XD

Level 2 Stuttgart...

How you are supposed to have the mad reading skills needed in order to pass the reading comprehension part while only knowing some 1000 kanji is beyond me. People who read texts like that fast enough should be habitual readers.. which would suggest far better kanji knowledge.

Well luckily you dont need high scores in every part:)

Good luck everyone! No matter the tests results.. our skill improvements will remain ours:)

and here is something that kind of reliefed my stress a little bit..
for someone that is desperatly studying for the past months its quite funny ^^

I totally relate to you on this one! I did a bunch of mock exams for both grades 2 and 1 earlier this year, and while the grade 1 readings are significantly more difficult in terms of grammar/content/kanji, I actually found grade 2 more stressful because of the time limit.

Good luck, man! Remember to plow through the grammar questions as quickly as possible!

Taking level 2 in Kagoshima.

The reading part is tough as the articles are pretty serious, when I reckon most students who know around 1000 kanji have been restricted to reading material more aimed a children. Like all exam questions though, there is a knack to doing them and quite often you can answer the questions even if you only understand half of the article.

Generally I'm feeling pretty confident though, I can't see any of the sections being a complete disaster and my kanji knowledge is probably high enough to see me through.

good luck everyone

シアトル、4級、がんばりますよ!

I got almost all the way through 3級漢字 but 聴解 and 文法 would have been my downfall if I had tried to take 3級。 Too bad we have a new JLPT next year without the traditional study guide. There will be very little "New" JLPT study material as a result.
