News:Moments ago, at approximately 1:30 a.m., there was an earthquake in the Kanto area. According to the Meteorological Agency, the seismic center occurred off the coast of Kanagawa prefecture, at a depth of 50 kilometers. The earthquake reached a magnitude of 5.1. The intensity in the cities of Yokosuka and Odawara was recorded at just below 5; it was slightly above 4 in Tokyo’s Chiyoda ward, 3 in Makuhari city, Chiba prefecture, and 2 in Ibaraki prefecture. There is no chance of an accompanying tsunami. I repeat, at approximately 1:30 a.m., there was an earthquake in the Kanto area.
Kumi:Hey, Ken! What time do you think it is? I'm trying to sleep here. I'm really sensitive to sound, so keep it down over there.

Translation:
Aya:So, we’ve finished moving, let’s go meet our neighbors!
		(ding dong!)
Neighbor:Yeeeeeees?
Aya:Hello, I’m your new neighbor, Takeyama. It’s nice to meet you.
Neighbor:My name is Sasaki. It’s nice to meet you.
Hide:Here’s a little something for your family. Please enjoy it.
Neighbor:Ohh, you didn’t have to! Thank you so much. Actually, our grandmother has a routine of doing voice training on the balcony every morning. It can get a little loud, but I hope it doesn’t bother you (Actually, there’s no way you can call that a human voice, but I can’t say that).
Hide:Voice…training?
Sasaki:	Well, this is between you and me, but Mr. Yamakawa in this building plays the violin as a hobby, but there’s no way you can call the sound he makes a violin. It’s so—annoying.
Hide:Whaaaaaaat.
Sasaki:	Oh yeah, and the Tanakas under you are a family of ten. In the morning before they go to school, it’s like a war is going on down there. I can barely stand it.
Aya:Hide-chan, what have we gotten ourselves into?!

Translation:
Hide:Did you get another email from your girlfriend today?
Take:Of course. I get them every day.
Hide:Look at you. These days you seem to have a new spring in your step.
Take:It’s all thanks to her.
Hide:So when are you going to marry her?
Take:Whaaat?! I haven’t even met her face-to-face and you’re talking about marriage?! I hadn’t even thought about it.
Hide:Oh yeah? So when are you going to meet her?
Take:Well I want to meet her, but at the same time I don’t want to meet her… It’s just that I don’t want her to hate me as soon as she meets me.
Take:Huh?! It’s weird that you email each other every day but have never actually met.
Take:No, well we’re still just friends, but! I have seen her picture. That’s good enough for me.
