Teacher: Omura has been sleeping in class quite often lately. Do you know anything about it?
Matsuoka: Please give him a break teacher. Omura wakes up every morning at three to do his paper route to support his family. (dials a phone number)
Omura: Hello? Oh, Matsuoka, what's up?
Matsuoka: What's up? The teacher is on to you is what's up! It’s pretty obvious that you sleep in class all the time.
Omura: You didn't tell him that I stay up late every night going to karaoke by myself, did you?
Matsuoka: No. I told him that you have a paper route.
Omura: Oh, thank you! Later (hangs up).

(during class)
Omura: (talking in his sleep) At this year's school festival, I'm definitely going to give the performance of a lifetime! Oooh, I can see myself being showered by applause and adulation. Then, my beloved Midori's eyes come to rest on me. (giggles to himself)
Teacher: Omura! You’re asleep again! And what are you saying?! Stand in the hallway until you wake up!

Aya: Then it's decided! Next Saturday we're all going to do hitokara together!

Translation:
Mr. Sato: Actually, to tell you the truth I’m against this “immersion education.” But, I can't go against my wife.
Richard: Oh, is that so?
Mr. Sato: Richard, what do you think about immersion education?
Richard: If the parents do their best to speak proper Japanese at home, it shouldn’t be hard for the child to acquire good Japanese skills at school as well.
Mr. Sato: I see. So the education needs to start at home.
Richard: Yes, I learned Japanese from my parents that way.
Mr. Sato: Well I think we are very lucky to have someone with such a good head on their shoulders as Tsuyoshi's home tutor. Please do your best.
Richard: I certainly will.

(Mrs. Sato walks back in)

Mrs. Sato: Sorry to keep you waiting. Please have some tea. So, what do you think of two hour lessons twice a week at 1800 Yen an hour? We could pay you monthly on the last lesson of each month.
Richard: That sounds just fine.
Mrs. Sato: Alright, then how do Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4pm to 6pm sound?
Richard: Should be just fine.
Mrs. Sato: Oh great! Well then, let’s have you start next Tuesday!
