Lesson 5, Japanese body Language and gestures. Here is the gesture. One more time. Can you guess the meaning? Is it A) Raining B) Ghost C) Dog. The correct answer is B) Ghost. This gesture is supposed to resemble how a ghost moves. When you go to a Japanese haunted house, you will see a woman wearing a kimono with no feet doing this gesture. When doing this gesture, we often say お化け (obake) which means ghost and it might sound more scary if you stretch out the syllables like おーばーけー (ōbākē) おーーばーーけーー (ōbākē) Do you feel scared?
