Learn Japanese with JapanesePod101.com! You are excited about your day ahead in Japan: your friends have been talking endlessly in Japanese about how beautiful this place is and how they can’t wait to show it to you. But when you arrive at this Japanese destination, you are taken aback. Not only is it beautiful, but it’s also very hilly. Apparently, you should have brought your hiking boots!
In this lesson, you will learn about a Japanese tourist location situated in the Miyagi prefecture. Today, we’ll discuss one of this prefecture’s most scenic Japanese areas, Matsushima, which consists of hundreds of islands and hills. We’ll also tell you about how this Japanese area has inspired others. Visit us at JapanesePod101.com, where you will find Japanese lesson notes (remember—this Advanced Audio Blog lesson is spoken entirely in Japanese!) and many more fantastic lessons and learning resources! Leave us a message while you are there!

Have you ever been to Miyagi?
