Learn Japanese with JapanesePod101.com! You get so nervous when you have to talk about yourself in Japanese, especially in front of people you’ve just met in Japan. In short, you’re shy. But relax: you know what you are talking about, and you have all the credentials you need to prove you will fit in well at their Japanese graduate school. In this lesson, you’ll learn the Japanese expressions that we use for summarizing or rephrasing what someone else has said, such as ii kaeru to, tsumari, yōsuru ni, and so on. Our Japanese conversation takes place at an interview test for a graduate school and is between interviewers and a prospective student. Because the speakers are professors and a student, they will be speaking formal Japanese. Visit us at JapanesePod101.com, where you will find many more fantastic Japanese lessons and learning resources! Leave us a message while you are there!

みなさん、 have you ever had an interview like Manabu’s? 面接はどうでしたか?緊張しますよね・・・ :S

みなさん、こんにちは。
面接のとき緊張するのは確かですよね。面接がちょっと嫌ですね。
ところで、学のような三対一の面接を体験したことがあります。大学を卒業したばかりですから面接を受けるということは全然慣れてなかったときです。とても緊張しましたのでされた質問を上手に答えられなかったです。つまり、選ばれなかったです。
(直して下さい!)

Scottさん こんにちは。
確かに面接のとき、緊張しますよね。私もすごく緊張します
つまり、受からなかったんですね。残念です。
面接はいつまでも慣れないと私は思います。
いつもいつも一生懸命、聞かれた質問に答えることしかできないと思うんです。
(とってもいいコメントでしたよ!直す部分がないですね。最後の文は「受からなかった」の方がよく使います。でも「選ばれなかった」も使うので大丈夫です。これからも日本語の勉強がんばりましょうね!)
