					<description>xoxoitany-san,
don't be sorry at all!! I wasn't sure if you knew any of those or not,
and that's why I didn't write more detail in my previous comment,
but now I can...

Yes; the "era" changes when the emperor passes away. This means there's
no "maximum" or "minimum" (well,....minimum could be ....1, right?).
The era of "shouwa" lasted that long (64 years) because the former emperor
passed away young. I do not know exactly, but when an era lasts long,
after the emperor's death, his birthday becomes national holiday.
(I know, it's wierd. As long as we have more holiday, we're happy  )
Shouwa emperor's era was for 63 years and a bit more, so his birthday, 29th
of April, is now stipulated as "shouwa no hi" national holiday, which was
"Emperor's Birthday" before his death (also national holiday).

By the way, do you know what's your birth-year sign? If you want to know,
let us know your birth year and we can tell you!
(only if you want to "declare" how old/young you are:mrgreen: of course)

					<description>xoxoitany-san,
yes! This year it's the year of snake!!
Have you heard of this 12 Chinese year signs? You might fall in love
deeper if you know those too! Please do so:mrgreen:
Heisei era is an era of current emperor (ten'nou). Before, it was Shouwa.
Shouwa era was quite long (64 years).
