Ichibansukiさん,
Congrats on passing JLPT 3!
We will probably continue to do the JLPT series in order, which means the next level would be N3, but in the meantime, please listen to our Lower and Upper Intermediate series - the grammar and vocab covered will really help you prepare for JLPT level 2!

Gerry from Michigan says:

Hello,

From the lesson notes:

今、がっこうから かえってきた ところです

means
I just came back from school. Would this not mean the same?

今、がっこうから きた ところです

what is the purpose of かえって ( te form of kaeru - to return)?

Thanks

Naomi says:

Gerry from Michigan-san

がっこうからきたところ means “I’ve just came from school.”

くる means “to come”. Whereas かえってくる means “to come back”

*かえる also means “to come back” or “to return” so if you say

がっこうからかえったところです。

That means the same as がっこうからかえったきたところです。

I hope this helps!

Hello,
all lessons are awesome, especially I like listening comprehension on JapanesePod101.com most cause this is my greatest weakness and therefore my greatest challenge. In this lesson the audio buttons in Grammar List do not fit. Some do not suit to the sententence, some do not function at all. Please, have a look. And sorry for my bad English.

Thank you
Best Regards
Franziska from Germany

Hi,

About quesiton 4 in Practice section, correct sentence should be

おさけ の のみすぎ に きをつけて ください。

Thanks

Naomi says:

Robert-san
Is this a question?
That’s right. The sentence is おさけ の のみすぎ に きをつけて ください.
So the answer is 2.
