Learn Japanese with JapanesePod101.com! You're at the doctor's office in Japan, and you're sure your blood pressure is through the roof. Just sitting in the waiting room of this Japanese office is making you antsy...there are posters written in Japanese about heart disease, cancer, and every other malady known to man, it seems! Finally, the nurse calls your name in Japanese, and you walk back to a room where the nurse takes your temperature and blood pressure. She asks you in Japanese, "Are you feeling okay? Your blood pressure seems a little high." You reply in Japanese, "It's usually not that high...if I come to the doctor's office, I get nervous." The nurse responds in Japanese, "Ah, I see. Well, we'll need to do one more test just to make sure everything's okay." You agree, but when she comes at you with a needle and a vial to take a sample of your blood, you start to stammer in Japanese, "Are you sure those tests are really necessary?"
