Learn Japanese with JapanesePod101.com! Finally, you have a day off from work in Japan. You and your boss have been really busy, and your knowledge of Japanese language, both spoken and written, has really helped, but you need a little time to relax. Your friend told you about several parks in the area, and you’re going to try to find one. You see the sign for the public park, and you recognize it from your study of Japanese Kanji, so you know you’re headed in the right direction. The park is beautiful, but you’re a little on edge. Some of the signs seem to be carrying a warning, but you’re not sure what exactly the signs are warning against. One sign you know. It says don’t smoke on the street. But two of the others are confusing. You stop one of the other patrons and ask, in Japanese, “Excuse me, what do those two signs mean?” His answer both helps and confuses. “That sign says watch out for the strong winds. The other says beware of the black kites.” Now, what did he mean by that? Is it a Ninja thing?
