Jessi-san,

Sorry, I thought someone had mentioned that they had lived in Kansas City. My mistake. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Knowing my friend, he will probably feel more comfortable with Japanese hosts until his English improves, lol. But thanks for your opinion :dogeza:

Joflowerさん,
Good question - EnglishPod101 is geared towards Japanese speakers, as nearly everything is explained in Japanese. At EnglishClass101 everything is taught in English so it is geared towards all English learners regardless of their native language. I suppose it depends on the your friend's English level and how they want to learn. If they are at a beginning or intermediate level, EnglishPod101 might be a good place for them to start because they get explanations in Japanese. If they are at a high level and are comfortable listening to everything in English then EnglishClass101 might be a better choice  I hope this helps!

Could someone tell me what the difference is between EnglishPod101 and EnglishClass101? Which one would you recommend for my Japanese friend? Would EnglishPod101 be better for my Japanese friend because it is hosted by Japanese people?

Hi Steve! Do you mean St. Louis, Missouri? I'm from California so my hometown isn't close to St. Louis  There's a place called San Luis (Obispo) that's close though!

Mayumi-san,

If you are trying to add value to the JPod site, you may want to put Hero's blog from EnglishPod101.com over for JPod101 users. I find it just as valuable (and fun) as any other JPod101 lesson!

Thanks,

Steve from St. Louis (near Jessi-san's U.S. home)

Greetings,

My idea for Englishclass101 is to offer my Japanese wife with some new helpful ways of mastering English. Also, I could use its resources to hold a class of my own. I wonder if there is a syllabus or outline to complement Englishclass101...
