The Orientation courses (pre-newbie) could perhaps be linked to the “Survival Phrases”?

Nice, what languages are next?
I think Finnish, Swedish, Thai and Esperanto would be cool.

Estimados Amigos;
Con mis mejores deseos de siempre, es muy buena idea, clases de Ingles en Ingles, para los que hablan, Ingles es muy bueno porque de esta manera corrigen el idioma que hablan.
Siempre es bueno el tener algo en otra cultura para hablar el Idioma de esa cultura, por ejemplo yo aprendí Ingles porque tuve una amiga de Estados Unidos y estoy aprendiendo japonés con ustedes porque me gusta el idioma y la cultura del Japón.
Sinceramente,

Thanks for the suggestions everyone
Niclasさん、
The Survival Phrases are made with someone who is travelling to Japan in the near future (and has little/no prior knowledge of Japanese) in mind. As a result, it’s mostly phrases that are introduced and grammar is not explained in-depth. The language lessons in the All-About series go really in-depth with the basics (pronunciation, grammar, etc.), so in that regard it’s different from Survival Phrases.

I’ve been a JapanesePod101 member for almost 6 months now and am absolutely in love with it. Super excited about the All About series. Keep up the great work!!

Esperanto is dead. No need to learn this;)
Norwegian may be cool;P

Esperanto isn’t dead at all.
I agree there is no *need* to learn it, but there are good reasons to *want* to. Plus Innovative Solutions has already 2 teachers that know the language (the awesome guys from germanpod101).

Greetings,
My idea for Englishclass101 is to offer my Japanese wife with some new helpful ways of mastering English. Also, I could use its resources to hold a class of my own. I wonder if there is a syllabus or outline to complement Englishclass101…

Mayumi-san,
If you are trying to add value to the JPod site, you may want to put Hero’s blog from EnglishPod101.com over for JPod101 users. I find it just as valuable (and fun) as any other JPod101 lesson!
Thanks,
Steve from St. Louis (near Jessi-san’s U.S. home)

Hi Steve! Do you mean St. Louis, Missouri? I’m from California so my hometown isn’t close to St. Louis
There’s a place called San Luis (Obispo) that’s close though!

stlsamurai-san,
Thank you for the great comment!
Good idea!
Do you listen to Hero’s blog to learn Japanese?
Friday at 8:22 am
Could someone tell me what the difference is between EnglishPod101 and EnglishClass101? Which one would you recommend for my Japanese friend? Would EnglishPod101 be better for my Japanese friend because it is hosted by Japanese people?
Friday at 9:41 am
Joflowerさん,
I hope this helps!
Good question - EnglishPod101 is geared towards Japanese speakers, as nearly everything is explained in Japanese. At EnglishClass101 everything is taught in English so it is geared towards all English learners regardless of their native language. I suppose it depends on the your friend’s English level and how they want to learn. If they are at a beginning or intermediate level, EnglishPod101 might be a good place for them to start because they get explanations in Japanese. If they are at a high level and are comfortable listening to everything in English then EnglishClass101 might be a better choice

Knowing my friend, he will probably feel more comfortable with Japanese hosts until his English improves, lol. But thanks for your opinion

Jessi-san,
Sorry, I thought someone had mentioned that they had lived in Kansas City. My mistake. Thanks and keep up the good work!
