Goes without saying that etymology and mnemonic not often go well together... The question is how old is that editor used here... Based on these components. according to the Online “Kanji Etymology Dictionary”

頁 head → people +
米 rice → plants +
犬 dog/beast → animals =

though I have seen, using the “simplified” version the following mnemonic
