I think a lot of the people who do buy brands wear them conspicuously, to be noticed and appear wealthy, but more people should pay attention to the actual designs behind the brands. Some of the clothing created is actually breathtaking. For example, John Galliano for Dior is stunning, and the hand-painted floral dresses of Dolce & Gabbana some seasons ago? Fabulous!
