Archernar -san
Great sentence!!
Just one quick advice. If you replaced, 市に with まち（街）を, your sentence would sound even better.
It's true that 市 means "city", but when you're talking about "city" or "town" in general, 街(machi) is more natural.
And when you say "to leave [ place ]", the place should be marked by particle を.
Since に　marks the destination.

I hope this makes sense.

Dario-san
すごいですね！！おめでとうございます。
Wow!! Congratulations!!! We're so happy for you!!

For JLPTN4, we would recommend that you study Beginner season4, 5, 6　and Lower Intermediate season 6. And of course our JLPTN4 course.

頑張ってください　Good luck on your studying.

Hello,

just wanted to say: thanks for everything! I passed JLPT Level 5 in July with a great mark, and I must say it's mostly thanks to these lessons!

I'd like to move on to JLPT Level 4 now, so can you please advise on which Lesson Series could help me cover the vocabulary + grammar required?

I know the lessons are not specifically targeted for JLPT, but I was just looking for a place to start!

Yonde kurete arigatou gozaimasu!
Ja ne,

Dario

Current Beginner Series Season 4 is continuous series from Newbie Nihongo Dojo series.
So I would say the best place to start is...
Newbie Series season 1 Lesson 31 Nihongo-dojo- Welcome to Style you.
Then study in Newbie until Lesson80 Nihongo Dojo- Style you and Beyond.
Next
Beginner series Season 4 Lesson 1 Meet the parents.
That way you can cover basic beginner level grammar points.

Julie-san
Good question.
The phrase people say when they carry a portable shrine is "Wasshoi wasshoi." It's similar to "yoisho", but Wasshoi is called out by a group of people when they need strength or keep rhythm.
Have you ever been to any Japanese festival?

I brought nuts and snacks from Thailand. Not sure Peter ate them though...

こんにちは Japanese Pod

今日のレソンおのトピクは関係ないけどほんとにありがとうございます。 Japanese Pod は教えるかた一番すきです、ふつうの日本語のレッソンはつまらなすぎる, でもJapanese Pod　面白くて役に立つ日本語がですね

I won't continue writing in Japanese because I don't want to be misunderstood. I really like your lessons, I hate normal monotone, phrasebook like Japanese lessons that you buy in bookstores, I have listened to too many conversations titled "whats that building over there" and "is this mr takashi's bag", I think you guys have the right idea. I have used phrases like 'I am sorry because my talent agency is fussy i can't sign your autograph' 'me or your work which is more important' and 'whats with the attitude' many times and it never fails to get a raise out of a Japanese Person (said tongue in cheek of course).

The term that Udea-san said, "yoisho, yoisho," is that the same thing that is said when you have people carrying the shrines during festival times?

Thanks!
