What am I missing here????

I personally think all the desks face the same direction so that Peter can make sure nobody's on YouTube when they're supposed to be working.

Hey guys!

明けましておめでとうございます！
Thanks for all the kind comments!
Handsome *Italian* guy? That's pretty good of you to guess his nationality just from a quick glimpse!

Vahid: Did you try purifying yourself when you went to Meiji Jingu? Next time you'll know how!
If you're ever at Meiji Jingu again, keep an eye out for wedding couples. My Japanese friends got married there just because they wanted to feel like rock stars with a bunch of foreigners taking their pictures.

Ricardo: Glad you learned. Actually the part about lifting the ladle at the end isn't so well known, even among Japanese. I've surprised a few of my Japanese friends with that little tid-bit.

Spidey: Haha - I don't think Feng Shui says anything about which way desks should face...
But I did learn an interesting Feng Shui related fact yesterday. Apparently Tokukawa Ieyasu (famous Japanese shogun) was buried in Nikko to the North-West of Tokyo because of a thought system similar to Feng Shui that says evil comes in from the North-West. He asked to be buried there so he could protect Edo (Tokyo) even after death.
And sorry...don't know about lefties. Usually left-handedness is looked down upon in traditional Eastern culture.

Foniks: Are you still unable to get things working?

Thomas: Good assumption!
It was shot around late September, I think. It's been a while, so I've kinda forgotten.
You're right - during New Year's, the shrines/temples are much more crowded, and it'd be almost impossible to shoot a video like this.

Wojtek: Thanks for the input. Glad you liked the graphics - Matt does a great job with them!
We'll keep in mind what you said about doing it without subs. Jun's speech is pretty fast, and he uses some of difficult words, so we thought it would be best to have them in this time. Are you subscribed to the video premium feed? If you look back at the old iLove videos - they have options for both, with subs and without. Some even have JP subs! We're still working out the best method. Please continue commenting and giving us input - we're listening!

Barto: 素晴らしいって言ってくれてありがとうございます！

Jan: Glad having it on YouTube helped. A lot of quality gets lost on YouTube, but you're right - it's the most far-reaching and convenient service for now. Hopefully quality and convenience will catch up soon!

こはい：Congratulations on your wedding!

他のみんなさん：Thanks for your comments! Stick with us for more exciting videos coming soon! I'm personally really looking forward to the Kanji Corner series to take off.

今年も宜しくお願いします！

Happy New Year Mina-san! :dogeza:

Will be back with a more detailed response, but wanted to give the answer to the question, which some people already got! Great job!

The answer is to so that the desks face the shrine, Hie Shrine in the case of our office.

Although, FortFukushima is kinda right too.

Thanks for all the comments! Kotoshi mo yoroshiku onegai shimasu!
