In 2006 we took a bus tour to Mt Fuji. We went to the 5th Station. It was such a horrible, miserable day I had to ask where the mountain was so that I could take a picture of it (or at least a picture of the fog and mist and rain that concealed it!!!). So, we've come all the way from Australia, been a fair way up and seen nothing except the winding road! My son, who lives in Japan, climbed it last year.

富士市で住んでいます！　ほとんど毎日富士山見えるよ！

I live at the base of Mt. Fuji, so it is quite a site to see. It is now covered in snow at the moment. It's only pretty in winter, it is kind of black and ugly in the summer.

I have climbed Mt. Fuji twice, and climbed overnight both times. Everyone tells me I'm a fool for it. (A wise man climbs once, a fool climbs it twice). I may climb it again. I guess I'm just a fool for Fuji-san. They still give the stamps. It makes the climb more entertaining. 山の頂上がすごく寒かったけど日の出はすごくきれいでした。　

I notice that the lesson notes (pdf file) are unreadable - on this lesson and some other recent ones. Earlier lesson notes are readable. Is this just me? Thanks for your help!

I climbed Mt. Fuji a number of years ago. At the time each station along the way would "brand" your climbing stick. Is this still done today? It was a great experience. Everyone should climb it once.:smile:

B0o Monteius san>Cool! Do you like the shinkansen ride? Shinkansen ni noru no ga suki desu ka?

Sarubobo san＞うらやましい！！！！！！！！！！の一言です　

Nery san> Hope you will get to visit and see Mt.Fuji yourself some day :nihon: :dogeza:

Caleb san> Kore wa omoshiroi deshita. --> kore wa omoshiro katta desu. or kore wa omoshiroi lesson deshita.
The frequency of the usage of "ni" and "e".....I think "ni" is more often used but "e" is perfectly ok to use too.

bottlelo san> What time of the day did you climb? Did you get to the top?

Arigatou gozaimashita. Kore wa omoshiroi deshita.
This helped me review verb conjugations. I however did notice the use of boti "ni" and "e." Like you said, both are interchangeable but is one used more often than the other?
Thank you again.
P.S. I also ski.
