Although the topic was quite easy to understand today, the speed was incredibly high for me. Is that the natural speed in which we should aim to be able to speak someday? (No matter what level, one needs to take a breath
)
Anyway, perhaps it’s only me. I also did not understand a verb (からかわれます - からかれます) this time during the conversation between Alisaさん and Yuichiさん,
.
although they used it twice. It’s a tongue twister! (例えば愛妻弁を持ってきていない若い男の人とかは karaka[wa]remasu, まわりから。 むしろ、愛妻弁当を持っていくと、「あついね」みたいな… 感じで karakaremasu.) According to my dictionary, that verb form doesn’t exist

からかう (Karakau) is the dictionary form.

あっそう
Now, it makes sense! THANK YOU, Naomiさん! The feedback speed was also high, today.
If only universities could have JPod101 as part of the syllabus and of course retribute you in cash, learning could be much more amazing there! I am really learning and also having so much fun with JPod101.
Bye!

調理と料理の意味はどのように違いますか。

karakawaremasu I understand.
karakaremasu? Where do I find something on this shortened passive form?

>>>調理と料理の意味はどのように違いますか。
料理(ryouri) is the more commonly used word.
Generally speaking, 調理(chouri) refers to the act of cooking something, whereas 料理(ryouri) can mean both the act and the dish which is the result of the cooking.
So you can say 日本料理(nihon-ryouri) but you can not say 日本調理(nihon-chouri).
The verbs “to cook” are 料理する(ryouri suru)、調理する(chouri suru) or 料理を作る(ryouri o tsukuru).
The passive form of “karakau” is “karakawareru”. (or karakawaremasu)

I also had a difficult time with “揶揄う”. Thanks a lot Naomi sensei!

ゆういちさんもここに参加することに加えて、今度自分のブロゴを設立してくれるといいですよ。いつも面白い経験などを会話に言うし、スチーベンコルーベアみたいに元の番組から別れても多くの人が聞くと思うのです。
