Mina-san, which “eye” expression is your favorite?

There is a lot of interesting new stuff in this lesson, that I got hungry of “learning”. Thank you for the challenge! (I also do not understand the relationship of today’s question and the podcast ) Anyway, そろそろ 失礼しますが、このレッスンの宿題をしはじめないといけない。週末を足りるなか… Great lesson… again! Thank you all!

I won’t have a chance to listen to the lesson until later, but I’ve been learning a lot of idioms lately, and there’s one using ‘eye’ that’s very close to an English idiom:

~に目をつぶる
close one’s eyes to ~

Another one is:

目が回る
to be dizzy, to feel faint

I prefer this kind of idiom at the moment because they’re more colourful and more frequently used in conversation, but 四字熟語 are more useful for learning kanji readings with Anki

Yeah, Lower Intermediate and Upper Intermediate are great. I can’t say the same for the Newbie or Beginner, unfortunately.

I also LOVE the hand drawn pictures that I’ve seen recently. Today’s picture is just some white guy’s eyeball. I don’t get it. But the hand drawn ones you’ve been doing recently are FANTASTIC!!

Oh, I didn’t mention it because I thought it would be covered judging by the title, but another one I learnt was similar to an English expression as well:

目が飛び出る
eyes pop out (of one’s head)
