I agree, this level is great. Week after week it kicks my butt.

There’s a special pleasure I get when I can’t follow the dialog AT ALL when I first hear it at the beginning of a lesson but then find it all ridiculously straightforward when it repeats at the end of the lesson. Way cool.

I didn’t mean you need to change the question, because I was not able to catch the idea immediately.( I’m afraid to say that this happens to me quite often ) I was just a little bit confused with all those “new eyes” on me , but I got it after listening the dialog once again. So my favorite “eye expression”, which is also brand-new in my vocab-list, is 目に浮かぶ。Let me see if it works: 日本に紅すばらしい葉狩りが目に浮かぶようだ。懐かしい。。。

I really like these. I found you guys a while back on Itunes, and I just love how it really teach Japanese, and how you teach what is behind tones and statements. What an adventure! I am having a blast!

It’s really sad that a person with so much teaching experience thinks that falling asleep during class is an innocent and harmless activity. Shame on her. Students who fall asleep in class are not only showing complete and utter disrespect for their teacher but also for their classmates as well.

Students who sleep during class are not only doing themselves a big disservice they are disrupting the rest of the class with this behavior.

Maybe it’s because teachers like Naomi think this is no big deal and are willing to overlook these kinds problem students that the level of education in Japan has been going down hill for the last few decades. Teachers are supposed not only educate their students but their also supposed to teach them how to be good citizens. Students who sleep during class show are self-centered and show a complete lack of awareness of how their actions affect those around them. Teachers who allow this kind of stuff to take place in their classes are a disgrace and need to take a good long look at themselves in the mirror and start considering a career change.

The breakdown and lack of discipline at some Japanese schools is appalling. Allowing students to get away with any kind of disrespectful activity no matter how trivial it seems creates an atmosphere where students no longer feel they have to follow the instructions of their teachers.

Shame on you again Naomi for making light of such bad behavior.
