The lesson says that the かかとof the slippers is cut off, and then translates this as the "toe part." I thought the kakato was the heel. Of course, as with many other important words in other lessons, kakato is not in the vocabulary list. Shouldn't all such words be listed?

Thanks Hiroko,

I just spent some quality time on YouTube going through some old Doraemon episodes...they're SO CUTE! And the language level is just about right for me...so it's perfect for my Immersion Environment. (Yeah, who here hasn't gone all AJATT at some point?)

I'm also told Sazaesan is an excellent choice for YouTube immersion. It's not as much fun, but the language level is a little easier (I think Doraemon is pitched at 7-9 year old kids, Sazaesan more at like 5-7 year olds.)

Oh MAN this is such a time-sink!

Alain san> 私のおばあちゃんが履（は）いていましたが、健康（けんこう）によさそうでしたよ　 it's kind of like you are standing on tippy toes but it doesn't hurt.
AndamanIslander > With Hon-yaku-Kon-nyaku, whoever eats one is able to interpret not only human languages but also aliens' and animals'. In Doraemon, they have Hon-yaku-Kon-nyaku miso flavors. Nowadays, maybe something similar to this isn't a miracle anymore....maybe this phone will come out and we don't have to eat こんにゃく to understand other languages
http://diamond.jp/series/digitrends/10011/

LeeAnn san> That's exactly why my grandma used these slippers! I tried and it feels nice.

仁居流san> I agree!

ook san> Yes, Doraemon is one of the most popular anime characters in Japan.

Mina-san!!! Check this out!
