Mina-san, have you ever started something new that began with a rocky start and thing looked like they would only get worse?

日系会社に入社したとき、仕事のスタートは前途多難だった。
残業はいよいよ大変になっているのに:???:、まだまだ、止めたくないと思う。会社に 日本人の考え方と働き方を会得するようにしていて、日本語の取得をしたいので、前途洋々な未来を信じられる。
…But only with the help of Buddha and Japanese101Pod!
By the way, I
yojijukugo! Thank you for being helping and doing this difficult enterprise more and more amazing!

他力本願という言葉を聴いて少しがっかりになりましたーかな。。。!他力本願な男というのは自分のことですか?やはり仏教の原因を分かったから。。。反省が足りないという意味だなと思うようになりました。hmmm!さ。。皆さん他力本願のような事をしないようにしましょう。それかしょうがないか?

yogi san> すばらしいですね!!これからもお仕事と日本語の勉強、頑張ってください!
neil.m4 san> 他力本願はだめですけど、人は一人では生きていけないですから、頼る(たよる)のはいいと思いますよ!So, if you don’t study Japanese at all and ask your friends to do all the Japanese paper works, that’s 他力本願、 but studying Japanese with JPod101 isn’t 他力本願 at all

Hi there, I was wondering if there was any reason why this lesson has 2 phrases that to me sound somewhat similar and therefore, confusing…. I mean tanan & tariki start the same and then you have tanan & hongan that sound similar…. sorry to sound like a phizzer but this lesson went in one ear and out the other…. I keep getting them mixed up in my mind… which goes with which.. just seems that you might pick 2 phrases that don’t sound anything like each other? Unless there is another reason why these 2 phrases are introduced together? The kanji? no… the meaning? no… I don’t see any relation other than they sound similar…:???:

頑張って日本に来てください
Mick san> Good point
I’ll put that in our idea bank! Thank you
