You can’t go skiing in Nagano in September! The conditions (if there was snow) would be horrible. January/February are the best times to go. Doesn’t anyone at japanesepod101.com ski or snowboard?
I guess it is a story though.

Yes…I go snowboarding.
It’s not a far drive for me to go snowboarding in Nevada. It takes about 4 hours to go to Utah or California.
I snowboarded in Japan also, but I never went to Nagano……..
I think i still need to take lessons though……I am still rusty…..

Minna-san,
.
If you are thinking about going on a Japanese ski trip or doing anything snow related in Japan check out: http://www.snowjapan.com/ It is loaded with links to accommodation options and provides daily snow and weather reports for various “snow regions” in Japan (among the other useful information of course!)

Miki seems to have written this story a while ago, so this is a bit out of season.
January and February are the best season to go skiing and snowboarding.
