Learn Japanese with JapanesePod101.com. Let’s say you’re talking to your best friend, and she’s acting weird. Too formal and a bit stuffy. Can you tell her in Japanese, “Stop acting like a stranger”? What about if that friend does something really brave. Can you tell her she’s got guts in Japanese?

Take a look at this Yojijukugo lesson if these phrases fit the bill. This Japanese lesson teaches you to use taningyōgi na koto suru na yo (don’t be such a stranger) and daitanfuteki na kōdō (a fearless action). Chock full of real-world examples, this Japanese lesson is one you don’t want to miss.

I need year and good Japanese friend(she) to figure how little difference mean everything in conversation, after one year she tell me “Could you stop , please writing’s like we first time meet” and explain me “Too much politnes between people who know each other long time make cold speak. It is not good and polite become rude”.Today I write with my friend casual. It is logical know each other long time, and same age and interest have.

ピーターがいないレッスンの時は、私たちはとても悲しくなります。
彼のユーモアは、温泉よりも何よりもすばらしいからです。
私たちは、彼を私たちファミリーの一員のように思っています。なぜなら、いつも彼のレッスンを聞いてからベッドに入るため、彼なしの私たちの生活は考えられないのです。

Hi Natsuko and Peter!!
I was really excited about this lesson, that taught new expressions and phrases. I am trying to improve my Japanese ability as a busy person without much time. I really think that my kanji related ability is poor so I really liked this lesson. Thanks a lot.

ゾランさん、I can definitely relate! There are still times when I am unsure of when to make the switch. Sometimes I’ll bring up the topic as a way of initiating a conversation on politeness. Then I follow it with, “how should we address one another?” That usually works. But now I have this expression!

Sam-san, hmm….what operating system and browser are you using? Vista? Please let us know by commenting, posting in the forum (those guys are really fast!) or e-mailing us. Thx!

ヴィルモシュ&ゆかさん、コメントを本当にありがとうございます! ヴィルモシュ&ゆかのお陰でやる気は満々です!本当に感謝しています!今後も是非聴き続けてください!よろしくお願いいたします! :dogeza:
