Mina-san, I can’t say enough good things about this series. It’s a goldmine of must know phrases. Even if you’re just coming to Japan and not opening up a bank account, today’s phrases will come in very handy if you want to convert currency. Hope you are enjoying the series!

Maybe 大河さん isn’t such a successful host after all… How come he only gets coins and not bills ?

This is a really useful lesson. Yes, as a customer, one hears these polite phrases all the time. It’s good to go through dissecting the grammar employed in these situations.

This series has been pretty difficult so far, but today’s lesson was a step too far for me. I glazed over during big chunks of it, just far too many new and very complex words introduced. Lower Intermediate is usually much easier than this, to be honest, this should have been an upper intermediate series.
