Mina-san, what’s your favorite manga?
Tuesday at 7:28 pm
My favourite is “From Eroica with Love.”
It’s so touching.
I also love “Gravitation.”

I have so many favourites, so many to choose from! JPod has asked this question before, and each time I have a different answer!
If I had to choose one it would have to be コナン名探偵. I’ve always loved CSI, and murder mystery shows, and being able to study Japanese while watching/reading a whodunnit mystery is cool!
But am I missing something? They can’t pay for a taxi so someone suggests spending the night at a manga place? They have beds there?

My family, friends & I love Japanese Manga very much. We all read a lot of it.
Here are some of my favorites:-
NaNa、Naruto、フルツバスケト、絶望先生、20世紀少年、桜蘭高校ホスト部 & 彼女を守る51の方法.

I haven’t read manga in a long time… and I mostly read mangas I knew as a child, that is mangas that were turned into the anime I saw on TV when I was 10 or so. So mostly oooooold mangas
My favourites are City Hunter and Sannen Kimengumi/High-school Kimengumi.
I also read Love Hina, and a few Death Notes.

I’m not sure about all manga stores, but I do know that a particular Manboo 24hr manga shop saved me from having to sleep in the train station all night.
On my way back from Osaka to Tokyo - the monsoon was too strong, so they stopped all the shinkansens - unfortunately, it seemed like everyone stopped in the same city - and after walking to every hotel and finding no rooms - a light from heaven beamed down (or perhaps it was a neon sign) on a Manboo.
They have little walled cubicles with padded mats to lay on, and you can rent a cubicle for all night relatively cheap (like 3000 yen!). Oh, and it comes with all the drinks you can drink + a load of Manga to read
Wednesday at 11:18 am
oh! that one!
i’ve been there to use the massage chairs
one of the bigger chains of mankitsu in tokyo is BAGUS. they have a quite classy decor, so it’s nice to get a couple’s room and go with a special someone to watch videos or play games or just relax. they usually have another store nearby to play darts and billiards. i love their lime slushy. mmmmmmm mmmmmm.

Man, it’s hard to pick just one. But if I had to name my #1 favorite it’d have to be まほらば. Here’s a somewhat out of date list of some of my other favorites (with some anime mixed in).
http://www.japanesepod101.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=405
Here’s a few more since I made that list that definitely deserve mentioning..
-よつばと! If you’re not reading it now, you should be.
-ひだまりスケッチ. Made of pure
-ひぐらしのなく頃に. Not for the faint of heart
-みなみけ
-ハヤテのごとく!

Is there room for one more?
Wednesday at 3:44 pm
Had to chime in. 遊戯王「Yuugiou」 is the only manga I’ve read from start to finish. It was very, very good.
