I cracked up at Peter's reaction to Naomi's explanation of the Kanji for "oboeru"... : "Nice demonic!" I agree, it was demonically difficult to understand, so instead of mnemonic, demonic. Anyone else pick up on that?
Watch enouch anime, and you're hear "oboerooo!!" often enough for it to stick!

I like the grammar point. But I feel like the explanation was more complicated than it needed to be. I was even more confused when it was broken down  The sample sentences were great though

Wael-san

Thank you for your question:smile:

For the sentence "mado ga akeraremasu.", the verb form is passive. So, you can read the grammar explanation in Lower Intermediate_S3 #1, Lower Intermediate_s3 #22, and so on.

Sorry, but I could not understand the sentence "Mado ga akaremasu."

As they opened the can they finally remembered what they put into it on the eve of Dec 31, 1999, the last remaining Windows PC that wasn't safely disposed of. They plugged the computer into their iBattery, turned the computer on and finally booted. As the computer's clock ticked over to Jan 1, 2000, they realized their fatal mistake. Oh no! they shouted as the explosion started...they had set off the Y2K bomb.

Here's what happened when they opened the "Time Capsule".

After hearing a thunderous blast they were teleported back to their elementary school days.
Suddenly they were wearing their school uniforms. They all looked down to see Hajime. He was trying to put his math homework into the time capsule. No wonder they were teleported back in time! You can never escape from math homework!!!!

Please help me translate this to Japanese.

It’s too late and I need some sleep or I’ll fall into a black hole tomorrow.

It was thoughtful of you to provide your characters with a last meal in the previous episode.

As for what should have been in the time capsule, it should have been something 懐かしい, that we can't imagine doing without today. For example, imagine that they no longer use cash in 2030. Or something along those lines.

I'm puzzled as to the ending... :???:

What should have been in the can:

-Hello Kitty-themed purikura snapshots of the gang
-a Pikachu stuffed toy
-a survival guide to Y2K (they buried it on New Year's Eve,1999, right ?)
