She had been ill for some time and had been seeing a doctor at a prestigious teaching hospital. While under the doctor’s care she had not gotten any better and had returned for a follow-up check up. On this day her doctor was out and an associate doctor examined her. Upon looking at her, the doctor asked her a few questions and took a look at her lab records. Based on her records and the examination she was able to quickly give my friend her diagnosis. She had an uncommon but well known disease known as Addison’s disease. Her previous doctor had misdiagnosed her. In fact her lab results indicated that some of her blood chemistry values were critical and that she could die at any time. So while it was unfortunate that she was sick and missed seeing her regular physician, she was lucky that the associate physician examined her and made the correct diagnosis that saved her life. 不幸中の幸い。My friend had an experience that would fit this situation. UNFORTUNATELY (This is another 不幸 in this story), the cop's partner (whom I didn't find attractive at all...) kept coming back to my apartment multiple times that night, trying to get "acquainted" with me...It was really obnoxious!
