ところで、JAPANESEPOD101のPODCASTでDIALOG TRANSCRIPTを見ると漢字が化けず、かなばかりがのってるのはなぜですか？UPPER INTERMEDIATEまでは一字もはいてない。それはおかしくない？漢字でDIALOGを作るのは面倒くさいからですか？訳を言え！漢字さえあればすごく勉強になるけど。今度ちゃんと漢字で書かなかったらJAPANESEPODのファンは黙っちゃいねぜ。

You don’t see any Kanji in the dialog transcript? I’ve just checked the transcript of this lesson and the dialogue was written in Kanji…

そうっすかPDFがあると思わんかった。でもItunesでレッソンファイルを開くとGetInfoを押してLyricsを見るとDialogTranscriptというのがあるでしょう。仮名やローマ字で書いてあるんじゃないですか。PDFをダウンロードしてもIpodを使ってる時に会話の表現の字を見たい場合は困ります。

actually, about the dialog transcript…
the free audio files are tagged like this:

NEWBIE = romaji & translation
BEGINNER = romaji & translation
LOWER INTERMEDIATE = hiragana & translation
INTERMEDIATE = hiragana & translation
UPPER INTERMEDIATE = hiragana & translation

the PREMIUM DIALOG tracks include everything regardless of level
(kanji, kana, romaji, translation).
due to technical limitations, you can’t view this info when you click the center button… YET.

the PREMIUM REVIEW tracks include the vocabulary from the lesson notes.
and again, due to technical limitations at the moment, you can’t view this info when you click the center button… YET.

however, if you drag the files out of the podcast directory and make a playlist, you can see it when you click the center button. this is true of the free files too, which include both iTunes Summary tags and Lyrics tags.

we hope to change this in the very near future, since it should make things easier for those who don’t wish to create separate playlists and smart playlists.

I remember my Japanese teacher complaining about his wife always using 何何でいい instead of ~がいい when they’d be in a restaurant.
