お帰りなさい!四字熟語面白そうな〜と。中国語はよくあるけど、教える方法はおもしろくね〜。 Almost every explanation begins with “in ancient China….” Boring! So I’ll be interested to see jPod’s take on 成語.

really excited about the new series

Markobe8-san, hehe. Back to office is a better phrase, as we’ve been working at home.
Max-san, interesting take. Why is it boring?
Eric-san, this should be very, very nice.

Idioms are great, and 四字熟語 are good for learning kanji readings, especially the less common ones. I learnt 馬耳東風 the other day: サクラさんを褒めては、馬耳東風ですね

Peter先生、the majority of Chinese 四字熟語 don’t have an interesting story, you just have to memorise them.
And people rarely drop them into conversation so you have little opportunity to learn in context.
Maybe I just haven’t got hte hang of them.

I also think the idea of the new series is great!
In fact, I’m learning japanese callicrapy, and those come up all the time (because it’s a nice exercice to have to write 4 kanji). My Japanese tried to explain to me the meaning of them, but it’s not really easy.
So great, no I’m gonna learn them with JPOD!
Keep up the good work!
