Is there an inside joke I’m missing? Why does Miki’s final line in these skits always end in “heh-heh”?

Brian, she doesn’t say heh heh, she says うふん, they were discussing it in the comments for one of the previous lessons in this series. It’s like English “ooh-la-la” or something, just some cute expression.

Would it be possible to do a staying at a ryokan series at intermediate or lower intermediate level? This series is going totally over my head now unfortunately, which is a bit of a shame as part 1 started out a good deal easier… but now it’s become super tough.

i agree with ジャービジさん on this one… if you could get through the first, this one isn’t too bad, but you really have to work at it. when you find some japanese you can’t grasp here, the beauty is you can keep reviewing it. grab the PDF and the go through the Line by Line Audio in the Learning Center…

if the grammar of this humble and polite japanese is too much for you, don’t worry… we have a business phrases series coming up in the beginner level very soon, so it might be good to bounce between this lesson and that lesson when it comes out.
