Mina-san, happy April Fool’s Day!
Instead of bringing you a fake lesson, we decided to stay serious and finish up our restaurant series. Hope you enjoyed it! Next year we’ll do something crazy for April 1st. Promise!

SUMO PANTS!
I believe it is time for Japanesepod101 to flex its well known international political muscle and prepare a petition to require the wearing of pants in all sumo tournaments. It is time to bring this sport into the 21st century and eliminate those factors that have limited its appeal. Look out ultimate fighting! Here comes sumo with pants!!

直美先生, I was trying to say ’sliced bread’, the kind you get pre-sliced in the bag. Maybe you’ve heard the expression ‘it’s the best thing since sliced bread’. It was a bad attempt at a joke, but then I did say I wanted to be as cool as Peter in the other lesson comments
