Learn Japanese with JapanesePod101.com! Why do you do that to yourself? You know you should have eaten something this morning, but you didn’t. Now you have to explain to your friends why you have to eat before you can visit the Japanese hot spring everyone has been dying to see. They seem pretty good-natured about it, maybe their anxious stomachs didn’t allow them to eat this morning either! Arriving at the Japanese restaurant, you realize this is a really nice place. The head-waiter begins speaking to you in Japanese. Now is not the time to forget the Japanese you’ve learned. You think you understand, he asked in Japanese, “Are you well, Sir?” You must look awful…why didn’t you eat breakfast? You reply in Japanese, “Thank you, I’m fine. My stomach hurts a little. I just need to eat.” At least that’s what you hope you said in Japanese. All these pains and aches are messing up your head. Now your friends look concerned, too. Now everyone is asking in Japanese, “What hurts?” One friend asks in Japanese, “Does your head hurt?” Another questions in Japanese, “Is it your throat? I have a cough drop.” Great, now you have to remember the Japanese names for all your body parts. Your head is starting to spin! Why didn’t you just eat breakfast?
