Learning Japanese is Fun at JapanesePod101.com! In today’s conversation, Ai-chan and Yuki-chan are shopping in Ameyokocho. Yuki bought a crêpe and is enjoying its tasty goodness and Ai-chan wants a piece of the action. Our grammar point is using the causative with the meaning of “to let someone do something.” Next time you want to eat your friend’s food, this will come in very handy. After listening, stop by JapanesePod101.com and be sure to leave us a post!

Mina-san, what’s up with Sights & Sounds and crepes?
Ericさん、すごいです!「目「め」がない」って素晴らしい表現ですね!
“~ni me ga nai” to be crazy about/to love ~(something)
Really good Japanese! Definitely try the expression out!
i’ve never eaten a crêpe, but i HAVE been to ameyokocho.
i love that area. the whole taito ward is a fantastic place!
I love crêpes !!! My favourites are : Nutella & banana/ ham egg-mushrooms / salmon-cream-chives…
皆さんはクレープに目が肥えているそうですけど、私はあまり食べていないので、何の種類がいいか分からないわけです。
I have a whole dictionary of idioms, and there are quite a few using 目. They’re definitely interesting from a cultural perspective, and no doubt make you sound more natural, but it’s hard to really learn them without seeing them come up anywhere. Suppose I’ll have to wait until I can read something more intellectual than Doraemon
日本のクレープは美味しいすぎる!(I hope this is ok.) I miss Japanese crepes!
一回食べました。アタシのはいちごとチョコレートでした。
Hm, I’m not premium, so I’m not sure if he was in this lesson or not, but I’m curious to see pictures of Yuichi. (I hope this is how you spell it! I have a hard time with long vowels.) ![]()
Ah, I haven’t posted in so long, but I still listen to every lesson…I think I’ve listened to them all since you started…hopefully!
J-Podのみんなさん、ありがとうございます! ![]()
Hmm, I know we’re past survival phrases, but I think maybe a lesson on asking what something tastes like would be helpful! When I got to Japan I knew I wanted to try a lot of food, but I didn’t know, for instance, what kind of udon to order since I didn’t know how to ask what it tasted like.
さくらさんはどこでしょうか?
yuichi will be on the cover of the 2009 “men of jpod” swimsuit calendar.
it will be on sale in the store in november, just in time for christmas, when you need to find the perfect calendar for that special someone.
Srsly??!
Will there be pix of Naomi Sensei in a bikini?
なおみ先生のビキニ姿が見たい人は、コメントをどしどしお寄せ下さい ![]()
みんなでその気にさせましょう。
あとマーキーの胸毛ボーンが見たい人もコメントよろしく(笑)
Will there be pix of Naomi Sensei in a bikini?
unfortunately, naomi is not a man, so she won’t be appearing in the “men of jpod” calendar.
I think I requested a Girls of Jpod 2008 Swimsuit Edition calendar for the store before, but it never came to be
If the picture of Naomi-sensei could also include high heels, it would be appreciated
I got very excited when the PDF title said “Delicious Creep”, but alas, it was about crepes.
I think this is officially the wackiest Sights & Sounds thready thingy I read yet!
