yuichi will be on the cover of the 2009 “men of jpod” swimsuit calendar.
it will be on sale in the store in november, just in time for christmas, when you need to find the perfect calendar for that special someone.

Hm, I’m not premium, so I’m not sure if he was in this lesson or not, but I’m curious to see pictures of Yuichi. (I hope this is how you spell it! I have a hard time with long vowels.)

Hmm, I know we’re past survival phrases, but I think maybe a lesson on asking what something tastes like would be helpful! When I got to Japan I knew I wanted to try a lot of food, but I didn’t know, for instance, what kind of udon to order since I didn’t know how to ask what it tasted like.

皆さんはクレープに目が肥えているそうですけど、私はあまり食べていないので、何の種類がいいか分からないわけです。

I have a whole dictionary of idioms, and there are quite a few using 目. They’re definitely interesting from a cultural perspective, and no doubt make you sound more natural, but it’s hard to really learn them without seeing them come up anywhere. Suppose I’ll have to wait until I can read something more intellectual than Doraemon
