Somebody "trying" to memorize one word a day can hardly be described as studious! Especially if you are majoring in Japanese.... At that rate, just to learn the 10,000 words you need to get the level 1 JLPT test it would take more than 27 years! (Not to mention the 2000 kanjis with all the readings and all the grammar structures you need to know.) According to the paper, How Many Words Do Japanese Know?, by Diane Fukumoto, and Eleanor Horii in The Journal-Newsletter of the Association of Teachers of Japanese, an average Japanese knows 63,000 compound words, which means at that learning rate, it would take 172.6 years! The grammar points in this series have been excellent, tho. And I believe I'll never forget the various of uses of ように because of Tom. Tom is totally irritating to the point of being comically tragic.

She was really insightful, great technic!!! I was rooting for him, but he's been showing to be such a "sticky" person. Therefore, I hope she can get out of this situation fast. :hachimaki: This guy is REALLY boring.

Mostly girls give it out but I've had a couple times where I had to use it too. I'm pretty sure it died out a year or two ago just because of how popular it got, kind of loses the effect when the person you give it to already knows whats coming :lol: This was really funny, in Orlando there is a number just like the “Rejection Hotline” you were talking about Peter.
