DK-san
Well...the usage [te form of verb]＋しまう is a bit complicated.
It indicates completion of an action or event.(=finish -ing) It also indicates the speaker's regret.(=Unfortunately...)

Please also check our beginner series season 6 lesson 2 and 3.
Beginner series season 4, 5 and 6 are more grammar oriented than beginner season 3. I'm sure you would find them more useful.

So it seems like　～てしまう is simply used to emphasize a verb right?
The casual forms really helped! I hear them all the time >_

Ericさん
「皆さん質問があるんですけど、リーチって他の場面で使うんですか？例えばパソコンのゲームをしてる時とか。」

→他にリーチを使う場面は、「ビンゴ」をするときに必ず使います。
When you play bingo, you definitely use the word "リーチ".

リーチは「あともう一つで、そのゲームで勝てる」という時に使います。ビンゴの時に２つのリーチがあれば、「ダブルリーチ」、３つだったら「トリプルリーチ」という風にも使えますよ。
Riichi is used when one more point is needed to win the game. When you have two riichis, you can say "ダブルリーチ", as for 3 riichis, "トリプルリーチ."

I saw something on TV about that. You win the ball bearing things and exchange them for tokens at the parlour, which you then take round the corner to a little kiosk where can "buy" cigarettes and other things (I think yen as well) with the pachinko "currency". Since you're not winning the money at the parlour nobody can get busted.

It's nice to hear that "bubble" sound conversation again. Are you planning to record future lessons under water??? That would sound really nice :lol:

私もお腹が空いてしまいます　！！！ウナギを食べたいですよ！

Ok, a rather naive question : I thought you couldn't directly win money at pachinko ? I've always heard that you won prizes that you ...could...exchange for money, even though it wasn't legal. Is that right ?
