I get about 60 percent, perhaps, but feel like I'm missing too much, especially when everyone's laughing at some joke :???:I didn't grasp. I think these mostly all-Japanese conversations could be more instructive if they came with transcripts of their own. I also wonder if there's some way to construct dialogues with the student providing responses to prerecorded comments. I realize this is a technical problem but the course right now lacks opportunity for speaking and is restricted to listening and reading.
