How to get to Ebisu

Easy Peasy - Roll out of bed-- I live in Ebisu!

But (today) Sunday I woke up to snow! Not a pretty site in Ebisu, Shibuya or Ginza. "soto wa, itsu no ma ni ka, yuki ni natta yo da"

Kind of day to stay home and study JPod. And my wife is complaining because it is too hot in Saipan.

When I lived in Inadazutsumi, I'd take the train to Chofu, transfer to the next line and ride to Shinjuku. From there, of course, it would be a short ride south on the Yamanote sen to Ebisu. Now, I have to fly into Narita, and from there take the express into Shinjuku.

I miss Ebisu. Especially the brewery.

Sindy - the primary international entry point to Tokyo is the Narita airport, which is about 1.5 hours out from Tokyo by the Narita Express train. Ebisu is a stop on the main Yamanote train line, one stop south of Shibuya (next is Harajuku, and Shinjuku is two stops after that). Yamanote-sen is one of the most important lines in Tokyo, being the only one that goes around in a big circle (takes almost exactly 1 hour to complete the circuit). Important stations on the Yamanote line are:Akihabara, Tokyo, Ueno, Ikebukuro, Shinjuku and Shibuya.

To be honest, I have no idea how to get to Ebisu from where I am (NYC).
Maybe someone can help me out or figure out how to get there!

Kuttler-san!

You have enough Intermediate and advance material, you have been in higher class so long, you really can't get enough. S_R_C

Here's an interesting podcast episode about Chinese literacy:

http://www.theworld.org/?q=node/15587

It's about Chinese people forgetting how to write 漢字 (with a pen). Relevant to Japanese of course!

From Paris ? Eaaassyyy !!! Take the train to CDG airport,12 hour flight to Narita, skyliner from Narita to Ueno, and then Yamanote line from Ueno to Ebisu. Where can I leave my suitcase ?...

I once tried to walk from Omote-sando to Ebisu and then to Shibuya. It was a nice day, and I love walking through cities... I got hopelessly lost... Who said girls can't read maps ?

The bonus track ... :kokoro: I'm still laughing !

Mina-san, If you were going to Ebisu from where you are right now, how would you get there? And don't just say airplane, because there's no airport in Ebisu. （笑）
