avatar kitty-chan says:

Is Fabrizio in the next Nihongo Dojo?

avatar sTeVe aUsTiN says:

Naomi-san, for Christmas I’m visiting my family and relaxing. It will be great to see my brother and sister for 3 weeks and just enjoy good food and my parents’ big house. After that, it’s back to school in my small, dirty pig pen on the other side of the country, Ha ha ha ha.

What’s all this buzz about new seasons? What’s coming up next?

avatar rigo says:

Great Lesson for a Newbie like me. I have already listened once and will do a few more times on the bus to Gotemba today. Should be a very nice ride and once I am there as the weather is perfect for seeing Mt. Fuji it will be a great day. Being originally from New england it is nice to read about snow and not have to drive or shovel it. Go Patriots !

avatar OkayamaS says:

Fabrizio cracked me up when he started coughing.

For Xmas, I’ll be partying so hard. I’m sure I’d make Fabrizio proud.

avatar markystar says:

皆さん、お疲れ様です!

Mike in Ebisu Tokyoさん、clear winter days are supposedly the best for seeing 富士山

なおみ先生、俺は彼女と一緒にプライベート露天風呂がある部屋を予約した。ついにリラックスできるから、ずーっとゆっくりするぞ! awwwww yeah.

avatar Peter says:

Jan-san,

From here on in we shall use object parking marticle!

avatar maxiewawa says:

Haha there’s actually a word for that kind of a slip-up. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spoonerism

I want that dramatic music for my phone. I’ll annoy all my friends with it.

avatar maxiewawa says:

Here’s my favourite Spoonerism: You’re a fart smeller. 日本語でもある?

avatar Naomi says:

maxiewawa さん

>Spoonerism 日本語でもある?
ありますよ。 「ジャイケル マクソン」とか、「あつはなつい」とか。

皆さん,

I just finished going through 2 years of newbie lessons. It is not necessary to tell this group how difficult it is to teach yourself Japanese but that’s what I have been doing. Very frustrating.

But the combination of well-crafted lessons, an engaging story line, and actors/teacher you can’t wait to hear again have led to non-stop studying on my part. Never has がんばって been so enjoyable.

One of our friends visited from Japan the other day and she brought her mother and her two friends. I have never been able to keep up any level of conversation in Japanese before and my (admittedly rudimentary) conversations really impressed them (especially my friend who never heard me speak Japanese before). As we were walking into the レストラン, they started chattering about my Japanese and the word I did not know was じょうず. My friend had to translate (she said it meant “good”, which I just could not reverse translate back into the word I heard). Later that night, I did a lesson about -い and -な adjectives, and there it was in the PDF.

I owe that success to JapanesePod101. Yes, I had studied before, but I was never able to “put it all together” until now.

どうも有難う御座います。 :dogeza:
